Improving Results
Principals create good schools. Teachers create good classrooms (Harry K Wong)
Most learners are motivated and committed to achieving good school results that will assist them with entry into further and higher education or into the work place. A key factor that influences learner achievement is a skilled teacher who has a good understanding of the subject content.
While teachers at all schools have to deal with constant challenges, such as limited resources and changes to curriculum, it is those teachers who are able to focus on effective teaching and learning practices who are able to consistently achieve good results.
A number of organisations have developed capacity building programmes for teachers and also opportunities for learners to succeed in their studies through direct student tuition. These programme all target key subjects.
