gold stands for Generation of Leaders Discovered. gold-youth was established in 2004 to respond to the massive social burden on young people in schools and communities which is not only robbing millions of young people of a future but is undermining much of the Region’s expensive exports for education and social and economic development.
The gold dream is to grow a million young African leaders with character and integrity to mobilize their generation with the tools and support to reach their full potential despite obstacles such as poverty, apathy, inadequate education, unemployment, orphan-hood and HIV.
